The Planetary “K-Index” hit nine tonight, but there still was no aurora to be seen in northern Illinois. It reminded me that I hadn’t updated the site in a few years, so this might be a good time. I’ll be fixing things over the next week to keep this site useful as a reference for natural Radio Listeners.

Latest Site Updates
Since the mainstream media is talking about solar storms and aurora tonight, I decided to put in a few hours and make some overdue updates on the NaturalRadio website. I updated all of the broken links to the NOAA GOES sites. NOAA seems to rebuild all of their sites every couple of years and changes all of the page names and breaks everyone’s links. I also deleted a couple of abandoned links and did a few other minor updates.
I will be working over the next couple of weeks to update the satellites since there have been a few launched since my last update.
Also, I would like to make sure that the list of commercial Natural Radio receivers is up-to-date, so if you know of any other commercially available receiver other than the 3 on my list, please drop me an email. Thanks.
VLF_Group@Yahoogroups.com Has Moved
The VLF Natural Radio discussion group formerly at Yahoogroups has moved to the Groups.io site. The name of the group is Natural Radio & VLF Group. The new web address is https://groups.io/g/VLF. Yahoo has changed its business plan and removed most of the functionality from Yahoo groups. All data will be deleted in mid-December.
If you were a member of the VLF_Group at Yahoo, you should have received an email from Groups.io asking you to log in to the new site and set up a new password. All data and conversations have been moved to the new site so you should be able to continue on as before.
I encourage you to complete registration of yourself at groups.io by entering your email address and selecting a personal password at this website: https://groups.io/register
Registration is free and this is a secure https website. As a result of the transfer process, you should already be registered at groups.io but you need to set a password to access all of the Group features. Be sure to use the same email address you used for VLF_Group@yahoogroups.com.
To send messages to members of the list using the new Group, use this email address: VLF@groups.io
Please add the above address to your email address book and delete the old VLF_Group@yahoogroups.com entry.
If you weren’t a member of the VLF_Group at Yahoo and would like to join the new group, enter your email address into the form at the bottom of the page and click subscribe. Yahoo membership is no longer required.
